Shape. Share. Show. - The Everything & Nothing Store Framework

Most marketing frameworks begin with channels. Post more, film more, advertise more, optimise more.

We start somewhere else. We start with meaning because in our experience, the problem isn’t that creative people don’t work hard enough at marketing. It’s that no one ever showed them how to think about their story clearly in the first place.

So we built a framework we actually use. Not a slide-deck model, not a buzzword system, a practical path from meaning to visibility snd we call it ...

Shape. Share. Show. Three phases, nine decisions, one clear story.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Phase One: Shape

Clarity before communication.

1. Start with Meaning

What is this work really about? Not the product, or the programme or logistics but the heartbeat, purpose and the work beneath the work.

If you can’t name the meaning, you can’t build the message.

2. Name the Real Tension

Every story moves through tension. What gap, frustration, longing or change does this work respond to?

Creative projects often skip this step because it feels uncomfortable but without tension, there’s no real reason to listen - clarity lives here.

3. Why Now?

Urgency doesn’t mean drama, it means relevance. Why does this matter in this moment?

For cultural organisations especially, timing is everything. Context shapes the meaning so before you speak, understand the moment you’re speaking into.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Phase Two: Share

Expression with intention.

4. Articulate the Big Idea

What is the core idea people can hold onto? If someone can’t repeat your idea back to you in one sentence, it’s not clear enough yet. The Big Idea isn’t a tagline, it’s the organising thought behind everything.

5. Define the Value

What changes for your audience? We often use this simple structure ... "This work helps (who) move from (problem) to (outcome)." If you can’t clearly articulate the shift, your audience won’t feel it. Story isn’t self-expression, it’s shared transformation.

6. Choose the Channels

Where does this story belong? Not everywhere but intentionally.

Press? Podcast? Live performance? Instagram? Email? In person? Visibility without strategy is just noise, visibility with intention builds recognition.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Phase Three: Show

Bring the story into the world.

7. Make It Visible

What proof points bring this story to life? Moments, testimonials, behind-the-scenes, results, human detail - all of these matter so that audiences trust what they can see.

8. Build the Narrative Rhythm

A story isn’t built in one post, t’s a pattern. How will this unfold over time?

Launch, sustain, deepen, repeat. The strongest brands think in chapters, not announcements.

9. Invite the Next Step

Clarity should lead somewhere. Attend, apply, listen, collaborate, invest.

Make the next step easy and human and clear.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why This Matters

We built Everything & Nothing because we saw too many brilliant creative projects struggle not because they lacked talent, but because they lacked narrative structure.

Good work doesn’t need louder marketing.

It needs clear thinking, intentional expression and visible experience.

SHAPE the story, SHARE it thoughtfully and SHOW it in the world. That’s the work.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If reading this sparked something ... if you can feel the shape of your story but can’t quite articulate it yet that’s exactly where we begin.

Our Story Sessions are designed to bring clarity to the work beneath the work.

A focused, thoughtful deep dive into your meaning, message, and next steps.

No noise or jargon, just structured thinking and honest conversation.
